We Were Proud to Be Part of World Refugee Day

There are some events that feel like they were made for us — and World Refugee Day is right at the top of that list.

This year we were so happy to take part and stand alongside our neighbors in the refugee and asylee community. After all, that's the whole reason BeKinder exists. We're a nonprofit coffee shop built to welcome refugees and asylees with jobs, education, and a real sense of belonging here in Dallas. Spending the day surrounded by so many people who share that mission was a reminder of exactly why we do this work.

A huge thank you to everyone who organized the day and to everyone who came out to celebrate the strength, courage, and resilience of refugees. We left feeling grateful, energized, and more inspired than ever.
